The Canadian Government acknowledges this week in May as the Emergency Preparedness Week. We should be prepared for emergencies caused by climate change and other threats, as these are becoming more common. You can find more information at the link below:


The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) also regards this week as the Mental Health Week. Many people deal with mental health issues that can negatively impact their family life. CMHS has provided strategies that can help us deal with such issues. Use the link below for more information:


The strategies outlined in the mental health week article are indeed similar to Guru Nanak’s philosophy. Kirit Karo, Naam Japo, Vand Chhako. It’s about taking the time to making yourself stronger through active living, meditation, and self-awareness and then applying your strengths and abilities to build a caring and resilient community.
