By listening to Gurbani and practising Naam Simran at home,  we can continue to strengthen our internal self and live in high spirits (Chardi Kala).

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Saadh Sangat Ji,

We hope everyone is keeping safe and well.  We wish you and your family best wishes for Vaisakhi and congratulations on the Birthday of the Khalsa!

We are at a unique time in our world.  “If you can’t go outside, Go inside!”.  As said by S. Dya Singh from Australia (author of book, “Sikhing Success and Happiness”. What does this mean?   It means,  we can use the time to explore our ‘spiritual home’ during the time we are quarantined in our physical home.

By listening to Gurbani and practising Naam Simran we can strengthen our internal self and live in high spirits (Chardi Kala) no matter how difficult the scenarios we are facing.  In this way we can support each other and get through the most challenging time as did our generations past.  This is the essence of the Khalsa spirit.

In Sikh prayer (Ardaas), an important part of Sikh philosophy is, “Nanak Naam Chardikala, Terey Bhaney Sarbaht dah Bhahlla” ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ means, “Oh Nanak, with the Naam (simran) of Waheguru (thru Gurbani) comes Chardi Kala and with your (Waheguru’s) blessings, may there be peace and prosperity for all in the Universe.”

Please join with your family on our Facebook page livestream  to be part of a virtual Vaisakhi presentation from 10AM to Noon on Monday April 13th.
